“The facts are known: 15 migrants died on the 6th February 2014 while trying to cross the border to Ceuta by swimming. The Guardia Civil (spanish military police) used rubber balls and smoke grenades to disperse them.
The images are clear: the police agents aimed to the place where the people was swimming and never tried to help or rescue them when they were altogether on top of the others.
Metromuster (creators of Ciutat Morta) and the association Observatori DESC coproduce this new documental to show the efforts of ONG, social movements and journalists to reconstruct what happened that morning and to push the legal investigation further.

“Los hechos son conocidos: 15 migrantes murieron el 6 de febrero de 2014 en un intento de entrada a Ceuta a nado disuelto por la Guardia Civil con pelotas de goma y botes de humo.
Las imágenes son claras: los agentes dispararon hacia la zona donde se encontraban nadando estas personas y no auxiliaron a nadie cuando los migrantes se encontraban ‘unos sobre otros’.
Metromuster (creadores de ‘Ciutat Morta’) y la asociación Observatori DESC coproducen este nuevo documental para ‘visibilizar el trabajo de ONG, movimientos sociales y periodistas’ para reconstruir lo ocurrido aquella mañana y ‘empujar’ la investigación judicial.”

Este documental reúne a las familias de varios de los fallecidos aquel día en la frontera española de El Tarajal (Ceuta), que dos años después, exigen respuestas.
